A family of six: me, my wife, Julie, Kaylinn (13), Madison (10), Bronson (7) and Hudson (3) moved from a comfortable home and routine to a 400 square foot motorcoach to experience this great country in a way most people only get to read about. This site was primarily designed to allow us to chronicle our travels by word and picture, so years from now we would be able to remember most of what we saw and experienced. Toward that end the journal entries (blog) were personal, private and a transparent expression of what we experienced. If reading it makes you uncomfortable, that was not our objective, but we make no apologies. Second, the site was intended to allow friends, family, and anyone else who was interested to follow our journey. We did our best to make it interesting, entertaining and maybe a little educational. Continue reading if you wish and take a moment to register to access the rest of the site.

We visited so many places, but here are the highlights:

Campground Reviews

Arches National Park
For each area we visited, I've provided a link to the campground where we stayed to allow you to obtain more information.  Our recomendations are based soley on our experience at each site.  Some campgrounds had world class facilities, in great locations, but I would not go back there to save my life.  Others had  less than prestine facilities, but for whatever reason we enjoyed ourselves and we would stay there again.  Keep in mind I did considerable research on each location before making reservations.  It was not our desire to "rough" it.  I made my decisions based on the reviews and rating from several resources and not on the nightly rate.

The most frequently asked question, since our return, has been, "What was your favorite place?" It is, for me, an impossible question to answer. So many of the places we visited were unique and spectacular in their own way, collectively making the whole experience what it was. Our kids would probably each give a different answer, but my response has been, if you can only visit two places before you die, in my opinion, you must see Yosemite National Park and New England in the Fall. That is not to say the other places are not equally worthwhile, but short of seeing them all, Yosemite and New England would be my top picks.
